Communities in Transition (CIT) is a signature program of the Real Estate Foundation of BC created to help increase the ability of non-metropolitan communities to address the challenges they face when planning for use and conservation of lands. The Barriere Community Garden was resurrected in 2008 by the North Thompson Valley Garden Club using a UBCM grant. The garden is located close to a senior’s home and is within walking distance via a pathway recently constructed by community volunteers.
